Baby Brother’s Newborn Session | Iowa City + Quad City Newborn Photographer

This newborn session was all about welcoming the newest little member of this family of four , a precious baby brother!

While the main focus of the session was, of course, baby, I always love adding in those subtle family moments too. Tiny newborn details, sleepy snuggles, and all of those sweet baby only images were mixed with a few moments with mom, dad, and big sibling. It creates a gallery that keeps baby at the center while still telling the story of the family surrounding him.

Keeping the Focus on Baby

Newborns change SO quickly. Those tiny fingers, little toes, sleepy stretches, and perfectly squishy cheeks don’t stay this little for long.

For this session, we kept things simple and timeless so baby brother could truly be the focus. I love creating newborn images that aren’t overly complicated or distracting. These are the photographs I want families to look back on years from now and immediately remember just how tiny their baby once was.

And while baby was definitely the star of the show, becoming a family of four is a pretty big deal too!

Just a Hint of Family

Not every newborn family session has to be filled with perfectly posed family portraits.

Sometimes my favorite images are the subtle ones — big sibling getting close to baby, mom holding her newest little love, dad snuggling baby against his chest, or everyone simply being together.

Including these moments gives you a glimpse of what your family looked and felt like during this incredibly short season without taking the focus away from your newest addition.

Looking for an Iowa City Newborn Photographer?

My newborn studio is located in Muscatine, Iowa, and I photograph families from Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, and the surrounding areas.

If you’re searching for an Iowa City newborn photographer, you don’t have to travel far to have a relaxed newborn session focused on your baby while still including the people who love them most.

Quad City Newborn Photography

I also regularly photograph families traveling from Davenport, Bettendorf, Moline, Rock Island, and throughout the Quad Cities.

If you’re looking for a Quad City newborn photographer, my Muscatine studio is a great option for families wanting timeless newborn portraits along with a few meaningful family and sibling images.

Newborn sessions are typically photographed during those first couple of weeks after baby arrives, and I only accept a limited number of newborns each month. Reserving your due date ahead of time is the best way to make sure there is room on my calendar.

Because they really are only this tiny once.

xoxo,
Miss Sarah
